Anti Vibe Sound Deadening – This material is designed to reduce vibrations in the thin metal panels that sit behind the speaker when the bass reverberates from the speaker. Adjustable silicone speaker baffle – This silicone baffle sits between the plastic speaker ring and the metal basket of the speaker itself; this has 3 great benefits. The benefits include creating an airtight seal between basket and adaptor, the rear has an extendable flange which give water protection to the back of the speaker and the front also has an extendable cone which guides the sound out of the speaker in the correct direction. A simple analogy is with a can of drink, if you tap this when its full you have a dull thud, do the same when half full you get a louder ting and when you have an empty can it has a loud ping, by adding the deadening your car becomes the dull thud as opposed to the loud ping when the speaker is playing.
