Compatible with following vehicles. Car Make / Model. This adaptor will convert the non din-sized aperture left after removing the factory stereo to a din size ready for head unit installation. The high quality finish, colour and texture are designed specifically to maintain the original look of your vehicles interior. This fascia kit uses side fixing brackets, the brackets fit directly to the sides of the new radio and the fascia panel. This replaces the need for a fitting cage and gives a flush professional appearance to the installation. A stalk/steering wheel control adaptor enables you to utilise the original factory remote audio (whether built onto steering wheel or fitted on a stalk next to the steering wheel) with an aftermarket unit. Steering wheel control interface and adapter cable for Volkswagen, Seat and Skoda cars to fit an aftermarket radio upgrade. The cable adapts from the Quadlock connector in the car to standard aftermarket ISO connectors. This replaces the need for a separate ISO radio replacement adapter cable. The CANbus steering wheel control interface is built in to the adapter cable for a plug and play installation. This interface will allow the original audio control buttons on the steering wheel to work with the new aftermarket radio. Note; the operation of these buttons can be dependent on the vehicle specification and radio compatibility. The CANbus interface will also provide a key present ignition, illumination, speed pulse, reverse gear and handbrake outputs. No radio information will be shown on the original display in the car. This is an alternative product to 49-VW-01. An Aerial Adaptor is needed when replacing the original factory fitted head unit with an aftermarket head unit. This antenna adapter cable adapts from the original Double Fakra connector in the vehicle to a standard aftermarket radio DIN antenna connection for the fitting of a stereo upgrade. This is not retained with this kit and will require 21-037 Fakra to SMB adapter. This kit also does not retain original reverse cameras or USB and AUX ports. Not suitable for original amplified systems (Dynaudio, Fender) Please use FK-699-SWC2-D for these models. The fascias are made to suit industry standard sized stereos such as Pioneer, Kenwood, Sony, Alpine, JVC etc, NOT INCLUDING China units or unbranded units. China units have a reputation to be over sized and may require modification to the fascia to allow it to fit. We do not take any responsibility for China units not fitting as they are not industry standard size. Some knowledge of car audio installation is helpful, as in some rare case “modification” is necessary.
