DSP amplifier bypass cable (20-316). Adapter cable to bypass the original DSP amplifier in a BMW X5 car with original sat nav. This adapter cable allows the fitting of an aftermarket stereo upgrade by bypassing the original DSP amplifier in the car. The original amplifier uses a digital data audio signal and therefore cannot be used with an aftermarket radio. The cable bypasses the original amplifier allowing the new radio to play audio directly to the cars speakers. The original amplifier is located behind the rear left quarter panel in the boot. The amp bypass cable connects to the speaker connectors from the amplifier, it also connects to the quadlock connector from the original tuner module located under the boot floor next to the battery. A 5 metre extension is provided to then extend these audio and power connections to the dashboard. The cable then terminates with a quadlock connector, this allows for the fitting of an ISO radio adapter cable or a steering wheel control adapter cable to fit to the new radio. The extension also accommodates for speed pulse and reverse gear signals to be extended to the steering control interface, these are loose wires on the adapter cable that need to be hardwired at the back of the car. PLEASE NOTE: This bypass cable is for cars with the DSP amplifier only, below are images of the DSP amplifier. Some cars have a power amplifier, a different fitting kit (FK-770-NAV) is needed for these cars. 5M antenna extension lead (21-028). 5 metre male to female Fakra antenna cable extension. With water blue universal Fakra cable. Used to extend the fakra connector when fitted at the rear of a car. Antenna adapter cable (21-106). Male Fakra to Male DIN antenna adapter cable. This cable adapts from a Farka antenna connection at the back of the cars original radio to a standard aftermarket DIN antenna connection to allow the fitting of an aftermarket radio upgrade. This is a passive adapter cable, not suitable for cars that need a phantom power supply to turn on the antenna amplifier. Steering wheel control adapter cable (29-721). This cable adapts from the original connector in the car, known as a quadlock, to standard aftermarket connectors for the new stereo, known as ISO connectors. The built in interface will allow the original audio controls on the steering wheel to work with an aftermarket radio. This adapter cable is designed to be plug and play installed along with the BMW X5 amplifier bypass cable. When used with the bypass cable, it will also provide speed pulse and reverse gear signals to the new radio. Universal patch lead for steering control adapter (29-025). This cable plugs into the ICT control box and connects to the 3.5mm socket or single wire on the back of the new head-unit. This item has loose wires and leads so it can be configured to suit the brand of radio being fitted. Fascia adapter panel (50-770-NAV). Replacement car audio fascia to enable you to change the original radio in the car to a Double DIN aftermarket version. This fascia adapter allows the fitting of an aftermarket radio into the cars dashboard by matching the shape, style, size and colour of the original OEM factory fitted radio. This fascia kit uses side fixing brackets, the brackets fit directly to the sides of the new radio and the fascia panel. This replaces the need for a fitting cage and gives a flush professional appearance to the installation. This fascia is supplied with 2 extra mounting brackets, cars with original navigation radios have different mounting points to cars with standard radios, fitting instructions are supplied. We recommend this installation is done by a professional car audio technician.
